Beautiful tribute Dan. Thanks for reminding us whats important in life... I trust Jana would smile at your words ... in times like this, I always try to remember "death is not the end, it is a path we must all take.. all we have to decide is what to do with the time that's been given to us" - Gandalf the White

Blessings and Light your way

Dear Dan, My wife and I will make a donation to Sea Shepard on behalf of Jana. You are blessed to have loved so deeply, and as others have pointed out here, we're touched by the depth of your commitment and your courage in these times. Bless you.

Please accept my sincere condolences for the loss of your dear Jana.

Dan, I will keep you and Jana in my prayers. God bless and thank you for reaching out to the Red community. May she rest in peace.

"Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal."-Irish saying.

May she rest in peace...

Dan:

I did not know you or Jana, but I read of your love for Jana and your loss here. I know that you and Jana shared a great love, and that love comes from God, because God is love. My prayer now is that God's love engulf and uphold you in your grief, and that God's peace embrace you. My prayers are for your comfort.

Even though I do not know you I am here to talk if that would help. I am a strong Christian and one of the things God has privileged me with doing is pastoring for a time when we lived in the Caribbean for 9 years. Even though film is my primary activity again, I still counsel and teach in our home church. Fell free to PM me if you wish to talk. My love goes out to you.

Beautifully put and touching...thank you for opening your heart.

Sincere condolences, Dan. Except good vibes heading your way...

My condolences Dan. If you were once connected with someone, does it make sense that the connection is broken just because of a physical death? No, the connection stays. You may just have to listen differently. You may just have to talk differently. The truth is: the connection is never broken. It's quite impossible to break the most powerful connection in the universe. As long as you exist, the connection stays.

Dan, I'm so sorry to hear about Jana's passing. I know its been trying for you to deal with this over the past months. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Be grateful for the time you were able to share together. Thanks for sharing this with us. I often wondered how things were going, but it felt intrusive to ask. Embrace your future, my friend.

I lost the most important person in my life this past weekend, my life partner of 12 years. It wasn't a complete surprise-- she had been battling cancer and Lyme disease for far too long. She was always incredibly supportive of my Red camera ventures, and happy for me as I eagerly plucked down my Epic deposit. She was the first subject I shot with my Red back in February 2008, and I was looking forward to doing the same in 5K. But in this devastating time of loss, what's truly important in life becomes so very clear. Pictures may be worth a thousand words, but nothing compares to the love shared by two people and the time spent nurturing its growth. I will miss her more than I can now bear. Rest in peace, Jana.

No words can even begin to give any kind of support when faced with such loss..

Nevertheless, I offer you my most sincere and heart felt Condolences and express my ben so very sorry for your loss.

You are fortunate to have had the time together and to be able to grieve for her. May you have peace and strength. Thank You

It seems like it is always the best ones who leave. The incredible void of their absence, changes everything. There is always a tomorrow, but it is the one we never wanted. It is a different tomorrow, where nothing is the same without them. It takes a long, long time to even start to think about that this is what it is now. It is life in its purest and hardest form. The pain may sometimes make you feel more alive than ever, but again, one never wanted to experience it.

It's only time, eons that have to pass, till one finally accepts that they live in the memory forever and that those memories never fade.

Very sorry for you loss, Dan.
All strength to you.
