  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

premiere pro cs5 5.0.2 update issue

[FONT=&quot]Sorry for taking so long to get back on this thread. It took a while to isolate this problem. It appears that there was a bug in the RED SDK that we used to develop the CS5 (5.0.2) update---which added the new color science support. The problem is fixed in Premiere Pro CS5.5.

We are still looking into what solution might be available for CS5.

Thanks for your patience.

Any chance of that CS5 solution happening, or is Adobe leaving us high and dry? I've been running CS5.0.1 with the CUDA hack for quite some time, as 5.0.2 and 5.0.3 both run far choppier and I keep getting REDimporter glitches, making it so I can't use RED footage. Well, I had a problem with my computer and had to reinstall CS5, but now all my RED footage is offline and won't reconnect. I thought it might be the redimporter needs to be reinstalled, but it's not available anymore for download, as it's included in the 5.0.2 and 5.0.3 updates (where the importer crashes any time I use it, making it useless in those anyway). It's very frustrating that I invested in CS5 in February, expecting that RED footage would work as advertised, only to come to find I need to spend another $400 to get it to actually work by upgrading to CS5.5 (the trial version I tried works great...kind of how CS5 should be). Now, I know that for lots of you, only $400 for the upgrade is hardly any money. Well, I moved to California recently and am barely getting into the industry here, so work is extremely slim and I'm already living off Mac & Cheese and tunafish sandwiches (no eating out for me) to save money. So I'm a bit disappointed that I made such a relatively large investment in something that isn't working as advertised, and rather than Adobe fixing it, I'm told to spend more money to upgrade to CS5.5
