Premiere Pro CC July 2013 Update

Thanks David

13. A button has been added to the Timeline Panel to globally Link or Unlink all clips in the sequence.

Nice touch.

Awesome!! but, I see adobe anywhere is "shipping" but there is no new info nor where to buy or install or anything.

From the anywhere press release:
Pricing and Availability
For pricing, please contact an Adobe account representative at anywhere@adobe.com.

The Source Settings dialog can be accessed by right-clicking on Clips within the Timeline Panel.

I hope it does what I think it does!

I actually thought adobe any where would be an app of the cc. Do you know if its a one time fee? Can you send a "viewer" to a client so they can look at what your doing in realtime? Would be great to show of a cut before you even have to export it and upload it.

Yes right clicking for source settings is for red users who asked :)

Anywhere is separate from CC since it is a server you will setup inside your facility. It is a different model for delivery which is why you need to contact the sales people. In the first release it supports PPro and Prelude. If your reviewer has PPro then yes they can setup a read only view of a sequence. Once of the major benefits of the model.

18. The Match Frame command now works on Nested or Multi-Camera Source Sequences, first matching to the source sequence, then stepping back further to the original master clip used in that source sequence.

Is it to export a master sequence with the actual clips, when using nested or multicam sequence?
If yes, wow, I've been waiting for so long !

This feature isn't that. This is just a better experience on Match Frame for multi cam clips. However, in CC we added Flatten Multicam which I think is what you are asking for.

Hi David,
Is there a fix in the works for Premiere CC that would allow playback of Red Epic 5KHD format files with the Red Rocket? Currently these new "HD" formats (except 4KHD) were added in the last year and they play when the Red Rocket is turned off, but when the rocket is on they freeze playback when in the timeline and this has always been the case. I am fine with shooting 5K and cropping on export (or in the timeline) but a lot of my clients wish to shoot in 5KHD and edit that way as well and the render times without the Rocket are horrible. Any info would be great and sorry if this was already discussed somewhere on this site- there's a lot of stuff to search through on here ;) -Jeff

I posted to you on the other thread.

Anyone else finding rendering times (CC vs. CS6) are slower on CC? Just installed CC, rendered a video with the same export settings as in CS6 and it's taking forever. Export settings are: h.264 .mp4 - 1920x1080 - 12mbps - VBR 1 Pass - ACC 320 kbps Audio). Installing CC also seems to have messed up CS6. I have all these media pending issues that hang my CS6 sessions now.

This is the bane of Adobe . I don't wish to dump on this thread but Ryan your saying render times have increased on CC. wtf ! So they've increased from CS6 to CC !.

What will happen with Dragon update ? How can Resolve render out quicker R3Ds to quicktime than Adobe ?

David, I'm not trolling here I just want to get a handle on the differences. Is Adobe renders taking more time due to higher quality standards de-bayering etc ?

Hi Mike,

I am note sure about the report above. In our tests CC is faster or as fast in our tests. Our R3D rendering is very fast depending on the options you set.
