Hi Friends,

On Premiere (latest version), is there a way to import R3Ds without each R3D being in it's own folder? It makes it a lot easier to browse the clips. I can manually go in and separated the clips / folders but that can be time consuming especially with lots of shots.

Thanks for any advice.

If you use the media browser you can go right to the root folder for that SSD and it will show the icons for each file. Right click and import from there.

Brilliant! Thanks so much. I knew there was a better way than dragging each file out of the folder, LOL.

Another method I've used is to search for *001.r3d in a folder hierarchy, and drag the result into a bin. Allows you to import every file in a hierarchy at once into a single bin without moving them.

I used it to transcode dailies while maintaining the hierarchy.
