Haakon, let me tell you that it doesn't take much to get a Red rig into the 30+Lb range. After attaching the 85-50mm, Red sliding base, Chrosziel single sided FF, 19mm steel bottom rods w/15mm Adapter and short 15mm rods a lightweight Chosziel Mattebox, a Battery (Granted with the Red drive cage) and the Panasonic BTLH900a we were getting to about 35Lbs by my estimate. Now the Pany monitor weighs more than the Red LCD & EVF combo but only by a pound or two. We were using both my 1030s head and Blairs 1030HD head. Both performed admirably but you could tell the HD was reaching it's limit, whereas the S still had comfortable room on the counter balance. If you think you are going to ever use bigger lenses or more accessories like motors and onboard converters, I would really consider the S.

This is my favorite prototype rig, Prague. She is one of the 25 pre-production units made last month.
