Is it possible to power the Red Raven using this cable on Ebay

with the DJI Ronin P-Tap connection would the battery be enough to supply the power needed.

Short answer... No. The camera draws too much power for the dtap out on the Ronin.12v x 3A = 36W. I believe the camera pulls between 50-70w

When/if my weapon finally arrives, we'll do a v-mount side solution as it was with the "old" weapon.

Yah I don't like things that make the ronin difficult to balance, I was using a side handle with redvolts at first, worked fine. But made balancing more difficlut
Have you tried tethering yourself (not the Ronin) with a V-Mount belt clip? I'm aiming for that direction with the Raven, just to lighten the load off of my arms and the Ronin. It'll require that I always remember I've got a cable attached to me before I walk away from the rig (it would suck to forget), but seems to fix enough weight issues to make it a worthwhile tradeoff.

Thanks for that post... hadn't seen those yet, and that will make the setup way simpler! Between these new connections and the DMSC2 cable-less design for other pieces, these rigs are looking pretty dialed in and "spaghetti-wire free".

Yep, the battery distributor will slide on the back of your ronin with the battery on it. it will be slightly bulkier

I ordered the I/O v-lock expander. When I want to use a gimbal is there a cheaper alternative to run the v-lock brick on the handlebars versus buying the jet pack expander for $850?

Scott - The Base I/O module (also Vlock) also has power in so you shouldn't been both that and jet pack. You may want a right angle DC in so that the cable goes down the bottom not straight out the back.

i understand that however what I'm asking is what option do I have with the base I/O to run a cable to mount the brick on the handle bars for instance? The brick battery on the back of the camera won't clear the back support arms of the ronin.
