Kind of defeats the purpose of being able to use a universal mount if only a select few batteries work on it.

Yea but it won't have the ability to power via redvolt. Jarred said he will show us the new side handle sometime this month.

I can't recall exactly, but I seem to recall saying he'd show it off, but that it wouldn't be shipping any time soon. Was there a follow up to when it would be available?

No it was in the Dec. 23 update post, Jarred said its fucking awesome and etc. but will not be shipping soon. Which sucks cause side handle on my Raven would be my go to set up if it's not on sticks.

Did Jarred mention the cost of the new side handle? Also does this mean the current DSMC side handle will NOT work with the Raven?

No mention of cost, and I have no idea if the old side handle will work. I can't speak for Jarred but my guess is that he will show us the side handle this month (re-read that he said he probably can't keep it a secret when he gets it this month, not that he will show it definitely this month) or at NAB 2016. When it will be released remains to be seen, I don't imagine it to be even close to soon though.
