Hello all,
I have a shoot in the mountains where access to AC Power outlets are near to none, so charging batteries is almost out of the question.
I have a pretty efficient generator that will be available on set, and with the AC DSMC Power Adapter, my question is:
Is it safe to run a Scarlet off of a Generator?

Have any of you done it and can speak if it was successful / or should be avoided?
Looking for other solutions if anybody might have any!
Any and all feedback is much appreciated!

i ran my scarlet off a power inverter plugged into my volvo. Im not sure a generator is different as far as power output, but i would imagine it would be safe

I've been using a Honda eu10i 1k generator with my scarlet and it's been rock solid.

We run the epic on quite unstable power and it takes allot for it to complain.
If you want to be very safe then you charge your batteries with the gen...

The Honda EU200I is safe to use with sensitive electrical equipment (I think all their EU-line is). I've used it with Profoto flash packs in the field alot. Woudln't hesitate to use it with the Scarlet. Runs like champ, and pretty silent too.
