Any major changes to this build?

Thanks Brent and Red programmers. I just installed the OLPF Port Bushing and stepped out for a bit. Darn. I'll have to wait until later to install.

Significant changes since previous build 2 v2.0.5:

Support Rear Battery module
Support max REDcode using 256GB mag (same as 64/128GB Mag)
Support Canon Extender
Support Focus Distance value in R3D file
Fix to correct zebra 2 Hi IRE settings and set default to 47
Fix for camera not booting with HDRx enabled
Fix to populate “Channel Map” and record audio data only with valid source
Fix to display proper false color ICON on REDmote upon connection
Fix to reset lens parameters and snapshot to 0 when lens disconnects.
Fix for invalid Canon config files
Fix for 300mm 4L lens focal length issue
Fixes for manual Lens Movement Detection/Correction
Fixes for touch track and continuous modes
Enhancements to lens movement correction
Enhancements to AF window placement on switch to magnify mode
Audio Input UI changed to single checkbox control (Audio Record Enable)

Operational notes specific to Build 2 v2.0.8:

EVF not supported in playback
Phantom power disabled
Sensor Flip disabled
5K ANA clips not supported in playback
Detaching monitor during playback will require reboot on monitor re-attach
Zoom Rocker mapping to aperture is not fully implemented
Camera powered RED BRICK may display voltage instead of battery capacity on some cameras.
EVF black level raised in some cases
ISO setting limited to min of 250
Image Magnify is available during preview, but not during recording.
HD-SDI is True Progressive, and do not support 1080i or 1080 PsF signal formats.

Does "Fix for invalid Canon config files" explain why only manual and confirm are enabled on my Tamron17-50 and Sigma8-16 lens's ?
No more auto focus.
Both of these worked before.

Edit: it does work now that I try again ( after re-setting up gig-e master-slave ) . Display shows focal length and focus distance now. So far so good!

Thanks Brent!
Downloading now.

Is there a way to save changes in the Media playback yet? I think I could be halfway done with a rough cut if that were possible. That and a clip delete function would be awesome! Many thanks to you guys at RED. Keep trucking, this camera is becoming more and more amazing!

Firmware Upgrade complete. No immediate concerns, but I'll test it out more tomorrow.

Thanks Phil for checking this out ... for me ... i'm just going to wait till this goes production and you guys burn it in.

I'm using 24 fps QHD mode, and external recorder for audio for everything i do ... so I don't think this effects me.
I would like the touch screen to work a bit more "nicer" but couldn't decipher what this means:
> Fixes for touch track and continuous modes

On the other hand, I was thinking of playing around with hdrx ... and with:
> Fix for camera not booting with HDRx enabled
Not going touch HDRX until 2.0.8 goes production

I am finding these beta notices very good to read, even as I'm going not going to use them ... so I know what not to mess around with.

This camera does so much, that really I'm finding that in 24 fps at 1/24 time in QHD ... the camera is a total dream and extremely stable, and does everything I need.
I'm still testing with timecode jamming and stuff ... but so far everyone of my "problems" have been operator error.

There was a solid pink bar when I finished installing. I rebooted and it was fine. It was definitely not 45 seconds of green flashing lights during the upgrade, more like 5 seconds. I waited 10 minutes just to be sure. All seems to be okay now.

I'm just going to stick with 2.05.

Wait, wouldn't sticking with 2.0.5 mean you'd potentially have that issue?
The note is indicating that's a bug in 2.0.5 that is fixed by the 2.0.8 beta.

well, it's not working for me... followed the instructions by the letter, still nothing when booting up.

this was what confused me:
copy the "force_upgrade" folder and its contents to the top level of the REDMAG¨ 1.8" SSD directory.
when i copied the firmware directly, without the folder it worked... just in case.

I can't seem to write to my Redmag. I'm using a Mac, OS 10.6.8

Checking the info pane on the mag, permissions say "Read Only" with no option to change it. Any suggestions on how to copy the firmware update folder to a Redmag?

New Firmware works fine.

I did experience one "lockup" while in 4K HD. The Scarlet locked up ie. I could use the menu etc, but could not change out of 4k HD mode to any other mode. Lens would not focus at all etc.

Quick restart and all is good again, I havent been able to repeat the problem.

Just shot 2 Days with the 2.0.8 firmware, and it worked well. Menu seems to hang up some times. but not noticeably bad.

Do the below notes indicate that these things will actually happen for Scarlet at some point down the line?

Also other ?s

Scarlet has 5K ana?
Sensor Flip?
Are monitors hot swappable?
image magnify WHILE recording?
EVF black level "on some cases" what does that mean? why the inconsistency? seems strange....
