Heath - it's a little frontheavy (and heavy overall), but can be easily compensated for by angling the front shoulderpad up a little bit. Nothing unmanageable and definitely the best shoulder rig I've used. Worth every penny. Full weight is probably somewhere around 30 pounds I would think.

I love the clutch and agree that is the best I have ever used. Was looking at getting the 18-85 but one of the biggest things holding me back was that I was unsure about the ability to shoulder mount it. but if it's manageable, then it looks like red might have some more of my money soon! ha

Thanks for the input!

No problem at all! I'll be on a documentary shoot all week this week handholding that rig, so I'll let you know how it feels after a few long days in a row.

Question... Would anyone happen to have their rig configured with a BOMB EVF, but positioned for left-eye use? The most common way to use the BOMB EVF (and any other EVF) is, of course, with the right eye (from what I understand), but I'm looking for a small, lightweight setup like this modified for left-eye use of the EVF.

I'm a lefty when it comes to my eyes. As far as I know I have a 20/20 vision, but I would have to squeeze my left eye in such a way it's not practical for me to use my right eye for camerawork.

I use my left eye, as well, and the WC evf mount works perfectly, and I like to rig it from my OBOX - you can see it somewhat here:
