Post-LART Details

Great having met all of you people!!!

Just like to thank a couple people real quick like. (right.....)

Ken Corbin for asking me to get involved and help "wrangle" and conceptualize stuff in the beginning, What was that, August?

Dayna Nichols for putting me in touch with Joe Raley of DAVES GARAGE.
Joe Raley for letting me know "yeah we've got a few cars..." and inviting us down to see the facility and being keen on the idea and presenting the concept to Mr. Parker.

Jim & Heather Hays for meeting up w/Joe to discuss the concept of L.A.R.T. and establishing the rapport and communicating the goal of what we were looking to do. And for hosting a wrap party at their place.

Glad to have seen it finally (Go Live) and working with & meeting all of you was an absolute blast...

Safe to say, that EVERYONE involved was KNOCKING EM' CLEAN OUT OF THE BALL PARK ALL DAY. ALL NIGHT. ALL WEEKEND.

IMRESSIVE in front of and behind the camera.

I've got more than a few models who've all sent me messages telling me what a Fantastic time they had, even though now they're sick and have lost their voices, etc from braving the elements, with the bravada they had to have to wear Ximena Valero's outfits...

i hope there's no arguing about my choice in Designer for the ladies...
here's Ximena's site www.ximenavalero.info

A Big THANKS to Dave DeMaio of FULL SPEED TV who dropped us off his 5 TON to grip/kit and light L.A.R.T. on my honus. phone calls two days prior is (was) the extent of our relationship. www.fullspeedtv.com He dug what was going on and glad to have been able to helped out.

And again, A Heart felt thanks to Joe Raley and Mr. Parker for opening up the use of the Pelican Rare Car Collection and surrounding parking lots for L.A.R.T.

it was great to have met all of you! hope we meet up again sooner rather than later.

Blair, Brooke, Ketch, Bram's TEAM, Lacey Raley, Jaime, Brian/Action-Cam, the Glam squad, DAVES GARAGE Dean Gerken, Matt Lewis "your commentary on some of the footage was priceless"... EVERYONE ELSE, THANK YOU!!...

Lucas, you rock. the redneck music while it all went down was a nice touch. SCRATCH mad man and a DJ. who knew?

Ken, Gibby, Pam, Wendy, good seeing you all again.. Safe to say there was more talented individuals there than is easy to comprehend thanks to you guys.

Ketch, sorry we lost ya on the way to the wrap party! We were lost. got phone directions and Bram put the hammer down, grabbing intersections like only he could.:poster_oops: the directions were mad easy, and on a paper plate on the bar. i didn't write them down either, thought someone else in the car had em already...

How'd you end up getting your car started after your battery died??? That must have been frustrating.

Ximena, thanks for bringing your understated "Make Love & Red Carpet Collections by" ; ) I'm glad we finally had an opportunity to do something creative together!! and Lacey Raley, THANK YOU for taking the lead with Make Up. Never hurts to bump into a MAC artist.. The girls gave me hell the morning of Day 2. "WHERE'S LACEY, KYLE??!?!?!?" :angry02: :ranting2: :ranting2: Is LACEY GOING TO BE COMING BY? Have you heard from Lacey yet??? All the girls love ya, no question about that.

JaNIca, Erin, Evlin, Chelsea, Melissa, Chloe, Cindy, DAYNA, Olga, Aurdone, Amy, Kamala, Hannah, Lester, Katy, Fred, THANKS for the follow through and sticking with the reschedule(s).

and suffice to say there would have been no ACTION without Bramstedt & crew, Looking forward to seeing what everyone was able to do. Should be good. ; )

tonaci, the cables I buy go into the shaft, or do they have their own cables wired that I plug into at the top then in return plug into the monitor at the bottom?

It seems they'd wire their own cables into the shaft. Heck, even Glidecam and Varizoom now come with wired shafts.

Hi Shawn

All cables run into the shaft. It's not wired cables in the shaft, thats only with our zero-g model. The only cable we'll be providing is the power-extension cable. The longer RED lcd and raid cables can be ordered from RED. Depending on your configuration, you might not need any longer cables. If you don't have the RED Raid - then no longer Raid cable needed; if you keep the LCD closer to the camera (like I did at LART) - then no longer LCD cable needed.

Just came to somewhere in mexico. Last thing I remember is partying with 4 lart models and getting into a third bottle of tequila. Now I am lost in mexico with only my underwear, a huge tattoo of a taco on my chest and a burro that was sleeping beside me and that I somehow have signed ownership papers for. I have traded the burro with sanchez the owner of an internet cafe for 10 minutes of internet time. So for the love of all thats holy someone help me.

Gotta go, I hear them playing the macarena in the bar next door and I'm up for a little partying.

Dude, I think this gets the Post of the Week award! :sorcerer:

You have no idea how funny and creative Finner is - he also won the best idea award for LART. We were running and gunning a RED test daylight EXT backlit multi-camera shoot with major elements and I said, "we need a gag for the story element."

With out missing a beat Finner kicks in an idea that is really going to entertain the reduser community when we release it on the GibCor channel on VUZE.

Thanks for clarifying Brian.

I love the idea of being able to use the RED cradle and RED lcd on the actioncam. It helps keep the cost of working rig down. It's modular so you can always add more options later.

I will be taking more detailed shots of the actioncam shortly. I think Brian is on to something here. At the price for the red configuration, it may open more doors to future "steadicam" operators who can't afford a 30,000+rig.

Thanks for all the kind words Ken, Tony and Billy. It was a pleasure to spend the weekend with everyone at lart. GibCor assembled a fantastic team.

By the way I am missing a pair of my black Speedo's. The ones that say "love machine" on the back. Anyone know where they are?

I would check with Ketch. I think I saw him with it in his hand trying to express the size of something to a model.

Joe Raley mentioned that there are a few unrecovered items from L.A.R.T.

Someone left behind a

A.) car mount
B.) green womens jacket
C.) Macbeth charts or line up grids
D.) few other small randoms. think sunglasses..

if you're missing something give me a heads up and I'll patch you through to recover your kit.

Bummer about the pics, Ketch. Next time!

Yeah, remember how you said that I shot more photos in one day then you did in your entire life? Next time I get an assistant to remind me to download the pictures.

But I got a few of you and 400 more left from the other cards.

Too bad the same of the best ones were taken in the first two cards.

Meeting and working (playing mostly) with you was great look forward to do it again.

Well you at work, sexy and beautiful ladies and our very LART Angels.

Ciao,

nice pose! :)

I'm sure there will be others of all of us that rival it! Ketch alone...hahaha.

Yeah Casey I got a pose for you.. or two

At first I was not sure what to make of my presence at LART, but shortly after I started meeting avery one and had a blast shooting every one.

I even get to pose with RED (the lens CAP was on... so no shooting here, just posing)

But I must say I enjoy the most posing wile close to the girls, my heart was beating a bit faster ( well my arm actually, and I fricked out some of the girls) but I survived.

Ciao,

Kyle, I would have loved to attend Jim's place, but don't wary we will have other great opportunity, trust me they will be, any way it was not you driving.

And yes it was not fun to get jump started on a brand new vehicle, but thats what I get to let technitians play with my car and 16 LED-z units powered by the 6 power aoutlets in my truck, and the fact that I left the lights on wile loading didn't help.

But hey, I got jump started with the Rolls Royce's cables by the GT Mustang #11, now thats getting jump started in style.

Truly looking forward to meet with you at PARADISE and be blown away by your 3D workflow.

NOthing but goodtimes for all. Mike's 2nd day action cut is fantastic. With 4 camera's buzzing between the stunt people and Gibby overhead it looks great.

If anyone has a questions about Vuze please fill free to hit up Mike Burton and I.

Thanks again Ken, Steve, and Kyle for a truly monumental gathering no doubt!

Ketch sorry to hear about your photos.....here's a great one of you but beware doublejointed models.....
