going to another point. Western Europeans have had a strong dislike for the US since early in Clintons' administration. Part of it is I think, the attitude you see in westerns where the town folk can't wait for the gunslinger to go away now that the bad guys are taken care of.

I'm worried that the traditional arrogant and ethnocentric European worldview is coming back. Maybe even stronger with the EU gaining political power.

Interesting how the eastern european countries, espcecially the ones who suffered under Soviet Communist domination seem to like us. Maybe it will just take awhile for them to catch up?

I wonder what is Europes' view of the increasing power of Putin?

Its a shame there are no characters of the Screaming Lord Sutch ilk anymore. This guy was a true character who in the UK ran a political party called "The Monster Raving Loony Party". Politics doesn't have to be all war, power, money and religion.

I like you - you make RED ONEs. That'll be enough for awhile. Then you gotta think of something else - like RED TWO, for example. :clown2:

Umm... what's that? :)

You mean the centralization of power in their presidential institution?

Haha! Romney wins Michigan, the Repubs are as confused as the Democrats. Long live the high drama that is the primaries!

certainly not boring...unlikely but it would be great if it came to convention time and and it was all still up for grabs.

Meh. Romeny wins another small state with few delegates.

This isn't a shifting race this is a race moving through various demographics. It's like a slow motion ballot count. "He got one more vote! Now McCain received a vote! Look at those people fill in the bubbles! Let's watch that replay as an individual voted for McCain giving him a total of 1 more vote completely shifting the momentum of this candidate!"

Even the BBC was covering the significant of a candidate winning his home state. What gives!

The man should of run in 1940, isolationism is a dead principle. It died Dec. 7 1941....

Bush ran on it in 2000. Gore was taking the opposite position. And, of course, you know Republicans in 1940 were isolationists and the Democrats were the one's trying to get us into the war to stop Hitler. Heck, Prescott Bush (Bush's grandfather) made a fortune financing Hitler. The apple doesn't fall far from the tree I guess.

I didn't vote for Bush in 2000 either....

This is one of your Achilles heels, when it comes to politics you think 2 dimensionally. Democrats good Republicans bad. 911 changed everything. That's the curse of the office of the president, the world changes and forces you to adapt...

I've read your post, you don't think there is or ever was a terrorist thread from Islamic jihadist. Hell I was like you before 911.

If I were to use your apple from the tree logic. Then it would be valid to say Vice President Gore is a racists because his father opposed civil rights act in the senate....

Wow did you guys see Senator Clinton and Senator Odama go at each other, Damn it was Like Me and Farland from down under were running for President.

I saw that shit! Hahaha. The fur was flying! Actually, it kind of angers me how the Clinton Regime is going after Obama. He's not my first choice, but he's trying to run a positive campaign, and the Clintons are tag-teaming and knee-capping him.

I think there will be blowback.

I've read some interested op-ed's recently from Dems saying they had this whole election wrapped up until recently. The opinion was that victory was assured but now they fear the Clinton-Obama cage fight is putting that in jeopardy.

Well if the GOP nominates an old warmongering Washington insider like McCain, it's certain the Dems will win, no matter whether it's Obama or Hillary, or both.

Paul and to a lesser extent Romney are the only hope for the GOP, in my opinion.

Well I was bummed that my main man Ron Paul did not do well, but I'm stoked that Barack Obama kicked some ass!!!!!

I fought in the first gulf war, and spent half a year in Afghanistan in 2003, and I'm sick of these wars. I want someone who will treat everyone like human beings and re-establish America as a (non-military) force for good in the world...

There are many people around the world sitting impotently, waiting for American voters to achieve such a thing. It ain`t gunna be easy, coz this has gone on for over half a century, and REAL choices aren`t always available to voters (realistically).

America took over where Britain left off. At last, the real world arrives at Red Forum, nice to hear, good luck, make your votes count, its most definately in your own interests to think long and hard about what these individuals REALLY stand for, and never forgive liers who let you down, or tolerate chemical weapons suppliers like Rumsfeltstinkskin.

All you`ll have to do then is get rid of the IMF, Globalisation, stop using `z` instead of `s` and writing color (its colour!). I`ll settle for just the first bit though.

It must suck to be an international spectator to this US election! It obviously affects all of us in the world, as W has made obvious.

I sometimes wish you guys could contribute or have some kind of say, somehow! Heh.

Ok, lets go.. Next time a bunch of unelected individuals meet in secret to discuss Global economic policies that affects us all, and, peacefull and legal protestors are made to stand in a field (with men in Balaclava`s pointing machine guns at them, in Europe, in the twentieth century) until the meeting is over, I`ll try and be there to film it with a Red and a telephoto. You do the same next time the Police start crushing lawful free speach in America.
When the state goes to such extremes to prevent free speach, its time to start wondering if freedom itself still exists. But then you should realise immediately, that it probably never has.
Don`t beat yourself up though, humans are intelligent preditory animals, who have been killing each other, constantly, through every age, and there isn`t a professor of anthropology that would contradict that statement, trust me on that.
Still, I find a nice cup of tea at 10 Downing Street helps (milk, two sugars please!)

Well Ron, did you happen to catch what those protesters had to say there in that field, I'd wager you did, not to mention the world. I love this suppression of free speech crap when I hear it. With free speech comes freedom of association. Just because your point of view is ignored, dismissed, or wrong does not mean that it is suppressed.

I don't mean this in a personal way, I speaking in a general way....
