My second REDRAY (prev faulty network) has been having playback issues.

Its almost intermittent where some clips will just show black.

I say almost cause clip "Les Sniper" wont play at all.

At first none of the test patter clips would then after a power down the up, its all good.

Same with "Rat Bastard". Played for a long time then stopped loading.

I havent updated the firmware since it arrived, Ill tackle that next week.

Lots of views but no one seems to be experiencing the same issues I have.

Odd. I wish there was a way to reset this unit to its factory settings.

As in purge all files and re-import again.

Almost a thousand views and no one else has the same problem?

Mine had playback issues but different from yours. There were intermittent audio dropouts. Once the picture froze leaving the audio going for a few seconds, then audio stopped and system was totally locked up so no buttons had any effect. Had to power cycle to revive it. I sent it back to Red for testing and they're sending me a replacement. I know that there's a format command for USB and SDHC cards but don't recall if there was a format command for the main drive; seems like there should be some way to do that. Certainly you can delete individual titles and reload them from backup.

Thanks Paul for replying.

RED Tech sent me info on resetting the system to factory but I dont seem to have that option on mine.

Do you?

My replacement unit hasn't been shipped yet, but t think I remember seeing that on a menu.
Edit: Reset to Factory Defaults is in Settings Menu. See page 19 of manual.

Yep I know where it should be.

I had to send RED tech a photo of what mine looked like and its not there.

This is the second unit for us.

The first one would not let us on both Wifi and Wired network.

I think they are made in the same factory as the pos-86 camera! lol
