996 Anniversary edition? (GT2 nose, but no Turbo/GT2 intakes on the rear arches). The hips look too narrow for it to be a C4S.

This isn't a Manthay special, is it.

That's OK, it's late.
I don't have the racing chops of the Matts, but I did get to take this bad boy (and a GT 500) over 120 on the LV speedway after we wrapped a Shelby shoot...

And I drove this beauty a lap or two but my knees just couldn't stand any more, I'm too tall. Jarred I don't know if you could even get in!

actually it only reads to 140. But I hit 140 at 5k RPMs in 4th.
I estimated by the time I got to 6k RPM in 5th, I was well over 150mph.
Coulda gone more, but I didn't feel like getting my speed reading off a ticket handed to me by CHP.
I could picture it:
Cop: you know how fast you were going, son?
Me: Actually officer... No. But I would love to know

Trust me, it's a blessing in disguise that you cant see over 140. My 911 speedo goes to 200mph and every once in awhile when I THINK I am going really fast i look down and it taunts me to go just a little bit faster....

Havn't burried it yet.. Got to 160 on the Pasadena freeway once but that didn't last for very long. :crying:

I got caught doing 120 in a Dodge neon in Vegas. That sucked. Costed me a few bucks. It took a downhill to get the car up to that speed:yikes:

My '71 911 2.3 litre Carrera6 engine gets currently overhauled. It used to go 145 mph. Pretty scary experience, especially when you get chased by some Audi/BMW drivers on the Autobahn who hate old cars going so fast.
