  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Picture of a Weapon

That is the matchbox that turned into a dragon flamethrower! It's smaller than the epic!

carbon, whew!

That looks like a new version of the some sort of PL mount, there's a little part jutting out. Maybe that is for the flange focal distance of medium format to get the lens farther away from the sensor.

It is just a Lens cap but your idea is pretty cool :)

You are pretty close. And remember the Weapon has a built-in top plate.

Shit Brent is gonna kill me.

See little reason to get killed for disclosing that hassles have been solved... :)

Gret stuff.

Now more... :)

Jarred,
The small monitor on the side ...is it an e-Ink display?

"3.5lbs" You are pretty close. And remember the Weapon has a built-in top plate.

Damn.. The weight of a Canon 1dc... If color science and low light capabilities are improved, the "which camera were used on the oscar nominated" list will be really different in the next few years..

Seeing that pic got me thinking, I usually have a bunch of gear mounted on that side of the camera, wireless receiver, Hotlink audio reliever etc. I'm gonna have to rethink that one. I can't see folks putting a whole lot of ribs and other mounting options on the right side of the body. But I may not need some of it anymore, I hoping for integrated Wifi, so there won't be a Hotlink on there.

Integrated top plate? Now I don't want Brent killing me either. Though it may be a small thing, I have never understood why there were not integrated mounting points. I truly like keeping the camera light and adding plates all over really went against its inherent slinkiness. The pic of the VV carbon just says stealthy panther. With a .95 lens -perfect for hunting covert in the dark.

Love the integrated top plate / cheese plate!

Great idea. Really. Only downside is my recently bought top plate can go on the used market with everyone elses.

Perhaps I missed it, but with my recently purchased sidehandle also destined for the classifieds, is there a place on WPN for small redvolts? I just see XLs.

Somewhere in the last 50 pages or so there is a picture that appears to show two regular REDVolts in the rear power module.

I think Jarred said there were contacts for only one Redvolt to work and that the Redvolt is only meant for maintenance work on the camera. The XL is the source of choice for shooting.

Can we get a mod in here to help with all the trolling?

…oh, wait a sec…
