  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Peter Lik...

Amazing, simply an amazing shot. This is a photo that makes you think you're actually there.

Absolutely beautiful... Agreed.

Any chance we could look a tiff? I really want dive in!

And I am VERY interested in Nov. 3rd's announcement on what Alchemy is ALL about... Thank you!

Alchemy is a simple slider... that does a lot.

"We also shot a Phase One 80MP back stitched. EPIC won"

Jim: This is a *really* big statement. I shoot both an Epic and an IQ180 - so I don't have a horse in this race.

This would make the Epic one of the best stills cameras in the world.

I think I need to do some back to back panos this weekend of Hong Kong and get the wideformat printer working just to make sure I don't have a $30K paperweight (The IQ) sitting in my cabinet.

Makes me want to set a Scarlet up in portrait orientation with a RRS pano clamp and climb a mountain. 3K height x 10+K width with Alchemy should be fantastic!

Stunning. Makes me so excited for Alchemy....or really for the future of RAW processing. Exciting times! Alchemy kinda reminds me of the 'Clarity' effect used in a camera app for the.... dare I say iPhone http://campl.us/feature/clarity. Whatever, all I know is I LOVE the look & I cannot wait to get my hands on it.

We just re-posted a larger version. Go to the 1st post and click on the image... :-)

Jim

Any chance of a PM with a link to download the original ? :-) Impossible to tell from on a 100ppi screen....

Marc

We did not shoot this vertically... but in hindsight, we sould have.

Jim

Jim, did you shoot vertically? And if so, how many frames did you stitch together? Picture looks great.
