  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

PERFECT SHOULDER PAD

Albert it really looks perfect! And its tempting like italian or english handcrafted leather shoes. Too sad I can´t meet you at NAB, I´ll have to follow the news online.
Take care and don´t forget to write me if you consider to make a couple of them!
Cheers,
Marc

Albert, with a piece of art like that, you got to think about putting a adjustable swivel in there!!
Hey Ketch
Thanks, glad you like the design.
If I am going to make a run, there is something else in the works that may do the trick.
Cheers
Albert

Thanks Marc
I got a lot interest and depending on the feedback from NAB I will decide if it's something I should do.
Shame I will not see you at NAB.
All the best my friend !

Hope I get a chance to see both you and the pad at the RedUser event Albert.

Seems like a lockable gimbal at the interface point on top might allow one to situate the camera to taste without adding much structure. I am imagining an integrated ball/socket type of thing in the upper shell that connects to the camera bottom (or a QRP) and locks like an israeli arm.

Perhaps the flat rectangular section on top could be a swappable plate that has countersunk screw holes in the corners. That way you could have a lightweight option to suit stripped down builds like in the pics, then for bomber rigs you screw on a full cheese plate and rock on. Just thinking out loud.

Cheers - #19

That thing is a work of art. $300 would be a steal.

Just one comment: only one screw? Won't the camera twist like crazy and unscrew itself? (Answer based on home spun shoulder pads in the past: yes.)

Albert, put me on the list of interested parties if you decide to do a run of those.

Thanks Albert for share... great design. Cheers

work in progress:)

Yeah Albert keep working on it, put a SECOND Screw on it, place it on a SWIVELING Base to allow for Horizontal Alignment with ONE'S shoulder, make so that it can attach to the bottom of the RED QUICK PRO RELEASE SYSTEM...

Then put it up for sale for $1,000... I Promise you that not only I'll buy it, but that you'll sale a BUNCH OF THEM!!

Just out of curiosity, how much do you think that would cause one to sweat? Just something to consider...

Don't want to derail the thread, but doesn't Innocinema make a shoulder pad for under $1k that can change horizontal alignment via rosette?

Anyways, best wishes Albert, always good to have improved options on the market.

Albert, beautiful work. Thought about the same thing, but do not have the time (or skills..). I actually thought about an adjustable carbon based yoke design, to find a way to redistribute weight to both shoulders. Run with that idea, please ;-)

Hey niced shoulder pad your friend John Dykyj is this the same guy that makes the Advanta Jib if so great guy

Not to go off topic, but the advantage jib looks awesome. Does anyone know of a source in Chicago to rent before we buy? Thanks!
