RED could move a LOT more cameras out the door if they had some kind of in-house lease program
RED does work closely with leasing companies currently our Bomb Squad Reps have information that can be provided if asked.

Thanks for the info guys! unfortunately I'm not looking at renting as I'm wanting to shoot lots of different projects so money wise it would be cheaper to buy one for myself.
Hence, a lease might be the ideal way to go for you.
Leasing is not the same as renting. Renting is a short term use fee charged to you by a rental company for a few days or weeks of use of their equipment. Leasing is a method of financing equipment where you pay a fixed amount of money each month for a certain number of months and you keep the equipment and have use of it every day. But you don't actually own it until the lease is at the end of it's term and you pay any "residual amount" or balance that is still owed on the item.not really as I've worked it out if I rent one for 26days I will have paid the same amount as it costs to buy one, and if I buy one I can use it everyday of the year which I won't be able to do if I rent.![]()

Thanks for the endorsement Larry! It was a pleasure working with you.
Any REDusers interested in financing should feel free to contact me direct with any questions. I can walk you through the entire financing process. I would also be more than happy to provide additional references from other happy REDusers we've provided financing for.
Without saying anything bad about other lenders out there, I can say that WB Financial's entertainment division dates back over 23-years and we have particular expertise in getting freelancers financed. That being said, we've financed camera gear for various media professionals- from rental houses to advertising agencies.
For anyone wanting to do some shopping, or place an order with RED at NAB next month... we are offering pre-approvals for use at the show! I'm sure RED has some exciting new announcements coming...
