  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Parkour shot on RED ONE - 120FPS

Fantastic, love it! Was this shot in Sydney? Where is that amazing location?

Very cool stuff. Your locations are great. Maybe a bit heavy on the digital lens flares at times... otherwise very cool.

When they were actually doing the parkour, very cool. Great location as well.

Too much focus pulling and lens flares. Also the opening credits lasted 1:25, or about 25% of the entire film. Also didnt see a parkour move until 2:00.

No such thing as too many flares in the video like this!

Watch the new Star Trek. They had someone blasting a flashlight into those anamorphics practically every shot!

Very nice vid! I think it's a nice look at what's to come with the 2/3 Scarlet: a very film-like look off of a 2/3" sensor and up to 120fps. Also, anyone worried about 2/3"s capabilities regarding DOF should watch this vid - there were some fairly shallow shots achieved.

The Red One is not 2/3" it is:

APS-C sized sensor, similar in size to those used in DSLR still digital cameras, as well the same area as Super 35 film. Sensor dimensions are 24.4mm x 13.7mm.

Right — but when you're shooting RED One 'windowed' down to 2K (as you must in order to hit frame rates as high as 120 fps) you're only using ~half the active pixels.

looks good, but i think the slow motion was a bit over done. perhaps ramping up and down on the next video to make the action a bit more dynamic could take the experience up a notch. Using a tripod and dolly would really make the running sequences look amazing. Nice job over all though!
