  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

PARIS VOGUE

i love seeing footage by epic that means scarlet is close . I cant afford an epic but a scarlet i could one day i would have a RED epic

So excited to see everyday more and more of the EPIC program is coming alive! Wait, what the ... am I saying? What is coming up in the EPIC program is already far more better than what was promised!! :driving:

That's why I love RED! Just one thing gets me more anxious with every new post: I hope to have been able to gather all the money I need to pay my Stage 2 EPIC when it knocks at my door... Such a shame living in Spain these days...

Congratulations one more time, guys!:cheers2:

Still unclear about this. Does this mean that Tattoo is actually happening or is this pre-Tattoo?

My only other comment is... WHEN CAN I GET ONE?!

Very nice! So now we know what you were doing in Paris...
And we know the current RED LCD can be plugged into Epic (or at least could be plugged into that version of Epic).

(sigh) Will this never end. Will someone make this a sticky?!

This is from May 31. 2010:

Correct... The Tattoo Program has already begun, Snake Oil, Lucky, Jackpot, Crackpot and Ghost are all Tattoo cameras that have been built in the last couple weeks. Several more are being assembled, and once Firmware V1.0 is ready, those new Tattoos will be delivered to the selected few that are in the Tattoo program.

Thanks, Terry. But it would be nice to hear something official and clear from RED every once in a while - maybe even on the red.com site. That info back then was fairly vague (and thousands of posts ago, even if you search Jim or Jarred posts, it's pretty far back.)

correct.. all existing RED monitors can be used on the EPIC.

Hey Jarred, were they using stills mode or motion and yanking stills? I have a motion/stills shoot coming up and dont have time to test out but curious what shutter they found acceptable for still use.
