@nick - I will do my best to respond to your questions below directly:
-Can you send a signal from an HDMI port on an SDI fed onboard monitor if I was doing a job on an Alexa or a camera without HDMI?
So, I believe what you are asking is:
If I have a monitor with an SDI feed into it, and I want to take an HDMI feed out of it - can I do that?
short answer:
Most monitors don't do that.
SMALLHD DP7 PRO will when it is released as it features bi-directional cross conversion.
another great option is the ATOMOS CONNECT series of converters - shaped like a SONY NP-F5xx battery - they cross convert H2S or S2H, and are super efficient.
Alternately a lot of customers use the Redbyte Decimator 2 with the Alexa and Sony cameras that do not have HDMI.
We have a wide variety of exciting developments in the pipeline right now - all of which will be beneficial to existing Arrow customers as well as new customers.
Also my 17" Panasonic monitor doesn't have HDMI would the receiver work with a HDMI to DVI adapter?
Generally yes - however this depends on your Panasonic Monitor, and the Framerate/Frequency that you are sending.
Some of the later models support true 23.98p via DVI - some earlier ones do not, a great option is 59.94p from Epic/Scarlet if your monitor supports it. They almost certainly handle 24p encoded in 59.94i
If I were to get +2 recievers could one of the be for the DPX pro?
Sorry, What is a DPX Pro?
You can connect one of your receivers to any normal monitor or cross converter or device that accepts an HDMI (and most) dvi signals via a converter cable.
