Looks like these have the LiColor2 as well:

https://www.newsshooter.com/2018/05...atures-dxl-red-monstro-gemini-helium-sensors/

"Designed to work with RED DSMC2 cameras, DXL-M marries the quality and performance of DXL with the smaller size and weight of the DSMC2. DXL-M brings popular features of DXL to RED MONSTRO, GEMINI, and HELIUM sensors, such as the DXL menu system (via an app for the iPhone), LiColor2, motorized lenses, wireless timecode (ACN), and the Primo HDR viewfinder.

Available in Q4 2018."

Too bad Panavision is rental only... Wiuld love to own something like this, or at minimum be able to use LiColor2 on my Red

Seems like this might be for sale since it is designed as an add-on to any dsmc2 so may be for sale (could be trying to amortize their investment in DXL)

But they never sell anything, rental only

Panavision rentals vs sales

Panavision rentals vs sales

Years ago Panavision was the subject of a legal action that went all the way to the FTC.
The FTC ruled that if something is offered for rental, it must also be offered for sale, so Panavision put ridiculously high prices on the Panaflex camera that discouraged people buying them.
One might expect the same thing here.

Is that shoulder rig part of the kit or what is that ? Looks really nice

That's what I thought too. I like that shoulder rig. Looks like it says "Spider Grip" on the side of the arms. Looks like it offsets for the height of the lenses too with the DSMC2 bodies. Plus, that shoulder pad looks heavenly. Didn't see any details on that. Anyone privy?

In addition, I also liked whatever extended grips they were holding near the mattebox. I've seen cam ops hold their matteboxes before for specific types of moves. I'd rather hold grips right next to the mattebox so I'm not messing with my lens mounts. Any info on this either?

Thanks!

Really?! Well that's super interesting...

Panavision dude...!!! they are super creative than any other 3rd party aks company.Nobody came up with something like that before and that design is unique.Lets hope WC copy that in soon.

Is it for sure Panavision? I didn't see any announcement news on that piece specifically.

According to this article, it's labeled as "a DXL-inspired accessories kit for RED DSMC2 cameras" - so I'm guess it's all for sale. Probably a nice incentive for owner operators to kit out and also begin considering renting additional Panavision gear or lenses within a production budget.

Damn, so you get there color science? Wow...

Sorry to be Debbie downer but I mean, The whole thing about panavision is its exclusivity. This is just basically a way to have a mini DXL for jobs that need the smaller footprint. And they don't have to design a whole new camera body. I would be absolutely shocked if this was for sale I hope I'm wrong though!
