True. Back in the 1990s, I knew of only one official adapter which let you use Hasselblad lenses on Contax 35mm SLRs. And I don't mind long rants.

Why would one get an S1H instead of a Komodo, IF Komodo is full frame?

As Fabricio said, among other things: IBIS. It reduces the need for gimbals.

Thanks for the correction. Dan Kanes corrected me on that also. And Sorry I didn't associate the name with the video sooner. This was a really excellent example of the capabilities of this camera when combined with an atlas anamorphic Lenses and in the hands of a talented cinematographer.

In this video, I cut straight to the chase and just go film some 6K 10bit footage and play with the other frame rates and resolutions. All recorded internally to the UHS-ii cards.

The S1H is the "CINEMA" version of the Panasonic S1 and S1R and is almost like a full-frame GH5 or GH5S! I loved shooting with it and found the footage to look incredible on my machine! However...because I edit on a MacBook Pro (base model 13") I was only able to edit in proxy mode in FCPX and couldn't even view the final 6K export on my computer without lag! If this camera becomes a part of my workflow, a new computer will be needed!!

This video was uploaded in 6K from an H.264 export straight out of final cut pro taken from the panny s1h. It took about 4 hours to export and 6 hours to upload and process! Granted...my machine isn't very powerful and my internet speed is pretty slow...but still, with my normal 4k exports and uploads I don't have any real problems and things move at a reasonable speed. Keep this in mind as you consider going to a high resolution like the Panasonic S1h or even the BMPCC 6k camera.

I was really impressed with this full frame 6K camera. So many was to capture your footage. The Anamorphic modes are also incredible and put this camera on the top of the pile if you like your footage wide and cinematic!
