I received an email about the featured product "REDvolt XL Module Power Pack", and thought this was some sort of bundled deal. However, upon adding the items separately into my cart, there is no price difference between buying the whole package and individual items. This seems to be true of all packaged/bundled items.

Wouldn't it be more of an incentive to buy if things were discounted in bulk or bundled purchases? It's nice to have this as a suggested grouping of items, but don't know that this is necessarily better than what "RED Armory" does now.

While I agree about the concept to a degree, the email states "Featured Product" which Red often does when something new or different becomes available that might interest Red camera owners.

The media packages are cheaper.

Sometimes the package is a worse deal-- I remember when I bought my Scarlet pkg on the very first night they were available, only to find out later I could have purchased everything individually for the same price, and I would have gotten a longer LCD cable than the little shorty I was saddled with. Haha, you live and learn. I guess it saved a few boxes! lol.

I think it's a convenience/confusion thing. Picking out a full Red system a la carte can be confusing to a new person; there are a lot of little bits and pieces. So the bundles are there to help with that more than to be a "package deal." I do agree that they could be a little of both, though...

How many people are dropping into the website to just pick up a red camera? Dear lord I spent a good many hours researching the best setup for what I would be needing.
