  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Owners...

Hey Jim, if you want to see more footage. Sell me a camera and I'll post some:)

+1 You've got a great reel Liam, I would be down to see what you would do with your Epic ....

Post more footage... :-)

Jim

Jim,
Would love to, but both our Epic-M's stay so busy we don't have any time to shoot our own footage and can't post our clients footage. Stay tuned to the National Geographic channel and you will see the Epics beautiful images.

LOVE THE EPIC!!!!!!!
And in case you didn't know, your team is AWESOME!!! Brent, Kelly, Chad, Deanan and the group have bent over backwards to help us more times than I can count. Your support is second to none.

Post more footage... :-)

Jim
How about a one to five minute short film contest, must be shot on RED. Prize awarded in January 2012 from all 2011 entries. Get a panel of say, Ten experts to select the winner. The Prize would be just the Glory of winning such a prestigious event watched by the world wide film community.

i post three projects last night after jim calls for footage and they are already lost in the shuffle...no comments...oh well...so much for posting footage.

Hi Dino,

I always look forward to your posts and BTS material of all the projects you work on BUT 2 of the 3 links you posted don't work here in Canada because of region issues, so I doubt they're working for others from around the world.

In some sense this seems like the best complement anyway- right now, they're too valuable to just play with !
(and, I suppose, the bar is now set so high that owners don't want to disappoint the community with a too-casual test)

Haha. Canucks in 7!

did you watch the last 6 periods of hockey or are you looking at your dvr footage of game 1 & 2 still or watching some of the regular season....

there is reg season, playoff hockey and SCF...canucks did well in the first two...but a 43 year old is looking for his 3rd with a 3rd team, he will not be denied!

sorry to hi-jack..back to regularly scheduled discussion about epic...stanley cup playoff hockey thread is somewhere else

Hey John, what lens / aperture was that? The subject is wicked sharp and the background is just buttery. Really nice separation, bordering on 3 dimensional.

It was a Red Pro Prime, probably the 35mm. As far as aperture, I'm not sure, but likely wide open or close to it given the frame rate.
