  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

well am about to make an 100k plus investment in red gear including epic M...i need help from peaple that have ordered gear before...my ONLY concern are the backordered items...specially the bomb EVF....i wouldnt be writing here if would get a delivery date range.... i dont care if its one year..two ..or whatever!!!i just really think red should give it to us staight up!!! we are still going to buy gear from RED simply because there the best cameras out there today!! its not like am gonna go rush to an alexa because some of my items are going to be late!!! I TRUST in RED...i just think red should trust in us to tell us when these items might get to us... the wait will be less if we just new how much time its going to take....am not asking for the exact date...all we need is an estimate...

I think You are asking an impossible question. Am I correct or not?
I don't think RED will ever give that kind of info.
 
Vasii, I find it hard to believe that you've put a request for approval for an Epic-m into the system, and arranged for payment, without having any contact with someone on the bomb squad.... I think if you spend some time going through the threads on the forum you will see that Red regularly provides status updates on shipping timeframes for products. They revise as needed based on changes that occur (the disasters in Japan for example).

I received my Epic-m's a few days after paying for them. A few backordered parts were shipped to me about a week later. I haven't received my EVF's yet, but I'm not at all concerned. They'll get shipped as soon as red has more available. I'm actually kinda lucky with regard to the EVF since I had an order in the queue since last September. I received it back in April so the current backorder didn't hurt me much.

Hey Vasili, as you may of heard we had a solid year of retooling manufacturing with the BOMB EVF and are now finally shipping them in healthy numbers every week. We built up a huge backlog over that year though so we still have another 6-8 weeks of catching up on existing orders along with the new orders from Epic-M customers. You can follow the EVF thread to see when people are receiving EVF's compared to when they ordered.

As it sits... if you ordered today, You likely would see your EVF delivered in September.
