  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

OSEE Monitor Group Buy - New Kits!!

That's cool - what's the price estimate?

No estimate as of yet.

OSEE confirmed the HDMI does support 10 bit.

Glad you got confirmation.

Nice,
Thanks

No prob!

Heya,

To clarify... Do you need a mac to install luts on the monitors?

EDIT: Just read the details properly!

+1 for LCM156-E Kit please!

Do we know where they are shipping from and can we get a rough idea of shipping costs before committing? Only to go from US to UK seems super expensive compared to from anywhere else in the world to the UK to the point of more than wiping out any cost saving.

From what I've been told, they will be shipping from California. I'll check if they have any UK distributors that they can work with to distribute, but my guess is no, since the pricing is so low. You can email Osee and figure out what it would cost to ship to you.

I'm in for 1x LCM156-E Monitor Kit (V-Mount)

Thanks again Chris for all you do!

No Problem!

Do the monitors outptut the corrected or uncorrected image? (pre/post LUT)

It depends on what settings you have from both the camera and monitor's perspective. You can send a LOG signal to the monitor and apply the LUT on the monitor, or you can send a lutified image out of camera to the monitor. Both would yield the same result. These things are great for color accuracy too. Love them to death.

Nice Offer! I am in!

1 x LCM156-E Kit (AB Mount)
1 x Ultra-Bright 7" (1100 knits) HCM700 (Sony Mount)

Thank you Chris!

What I wanna know camera (log) - osee Monitor (LUT) - client Monitor (can the SDI out of the Osee output the LUT it applied to the cameras Log, like a smallhd?)

Thanks Chris. I'll be dropping out then. Appreciate the group buy as always!

I believe it's going to take that feed out of the monitor after the LUT has been applied, so I believe so, however, let me confirm for you. On a side note, SmallHD also supports LUTS as well, so if it doesn't, you could apply the LUT on the monitor side as well.

I'd like to change to a LCM156-E Kit. Thanks!

Changed

Wondering on the weight as that influences my decision which monitor. Thanks.

They are pretty light-weight given the size and are incredibly portable, especially the 15.6" which has it's own soft/portable case.

Are you sure? I think someone else said the shipping is only like $80. Let me know and I'll remove you. Contact Osee though to find out exactly what it would cost.

That was to Canada from the US. I'm in the UK where it's $85 to send a cable from the US, let alone a monitor. Sadly I think once it gets into my hands (import duty and fees) it will be too pricey.

The 7" Supports this.

Weights are as follows:

7" (all metal) - 1.5 lbs

15.6" - approx 8 lbs

17" - approx 9 lbs

Hi Chris,
How long a warranty comes with each unit,
and is an extended warranty available to purchase?
Thank you,
Billy

and 23"?

And, guys, any reason no one else wants 23"? apart from mobility (and delay till August), any disadvantage I should be aware of? Really getting me unsettled being a loner on this!
