I just picked up a HI5 SDI to HDMI converter to use instead of the HDMI out on our Scarlet but I'm not sure that it is functioning correctly. I've tried this with a couple of input sources and it is the same result each time. The screen is shifted a quarter of the way off. I know the SDI out on the Scarlet is fine because I've used it before, I'm hoping someone else that has experience with the HI5 may know what's going on. My only other thought is that the SDI needs termination but I've never done that before.

Attached is a picture showing the screen of my DP6 and what I'm seeing.

Well the Scarlet was set to Auto. I changed to to 30hz and that brought the full frame back. It looks like the HI5 doesn't like 60hz either. Now I need to try this on the Decklink card and see whats up.

I was leaning toward the Blackmagic Mini converters but someone I work with was a big AJA fan and swayed me. I personally am a huge Blackmagic fan as well. My first Decklink card had an issue with audio and they replaced it for me for free even though I bought the card secondhand. I guess that's what I get for doubting myself, plus their cheaper too.
