Original Red lenses and Epic X

[J.D. Frey]

Will the original red lenses (2007) have redmote focus control/ communication with the Epic?

[Chris Luker]

RED lenses don't have focus motors, so no redmote focus control.

Gotcha- but I'm assuming other data gets sent (or will) if this post is current?

So all the current Red lenses are manual as well?

Thanks for the help I'm trying to figure out what items I need to keep (FF, etc), and what I can sell. Not planning on buying the Canon mount since I don't have any Canon glass- I'll just wait for a Nikon mount assuming it is still in the works.
