  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Orbit of Downtown LA in 8K

Sorry, Should have said I watched 8k setting in Chome on my 4k tv , But as Phil said " I've noticed on my 4K displays that the 8K material looks pretty snazzy,"
Also like to thank Phil for putting this on YouTube in 8k.

Very cool Phil!! Did you end up using IPP2 and your own PhilmColor for the grade or something completely custom?

Yes. I've been on IPP2 workflow for a while now and am very much looking forward to the 3rd party updates coming shortly. And yep, it's a newer philmColor LUT I have made with a smidge of the grading tools in RCX.

I guess based on your budget, you could use any lens for this. You chose the Tokina Cinema Vista 35mm. Is the the highest resolving lens for format in focal length?

Can just about make out my building in the background.

Interesting how the gradual replacement of sodium vapor is creating this orange and blue patchwork....
