So.... I know Scarlet Dragon does 2X anamorphic at 6:5 5k.

But all the adapters and lens choices out there that are reasonable for a run a gun kit are 1.33x and Scarlet doesn't have the option for 1.33x de-squeeze on monitor...

What other options are there? I know moment have a great 1.33x adaptor coming out in January, and Sirui make some decent 1.33x glass that are APS-C. Would it still be possible to shoot 1.33x anamorphic on the scarlet and just de-squeeze in post or am I stuck to renting super expensive glass to use 2x Anamorphic.

Cheers in advance.

PS. I should have mentioned I have my Epic Dragon as A camera and it can shoot 1.33 Ana and de-squeeze on the monitor. Just wanting to see if I can use my Scarlet as a B camera using the same Anamorphic glass.

I don’t have a lens recommendation, but just a reminder that many monitors have built-in anamorphic de-squeeze options. If the only thing standing between you and the lens package you otherwise want is that limitation on B-cam, maybe that’s the answer.

Cheers M. Harvey, I appreciate the response and yes that does indeed help. I use my 7" Pro Monitor on the Scarlet, but I guess I could look at getting something to run on it to do the de squeeze. Guess I would shoot 5k 6:5 on the scarlet as that is availble on the epic for 1.33 anamorphic.

Appreciate the help.

If you dont have the monitor option, do some tests.
Did you find a lens?
I am curious since Im going to rent an Atlas in the new year for a personal project.
