Looks like a new set of FF primes coming that can TRANSFORM into any look you're after and include onboard intelligence. Look very interesting, 95mm fronts, 1.8, glad I did not buy Signature's yet.

I've been wondering about Angeniuex and Primes. The zooms are such a standard and whenever primes are brought into the mix its never a good match.
I asked a Angenieux rep about a year ago if they would get into primes and "no" was the response at that point, but I guess it was too soon to let out the bag.

Yes if the main lens on a job is a optimo zoom it make a lot of sense for the primes to be Optimo..

Wild.... Optimo primes..... I think this could change the game potentially. Nobody has been able to touch Angenieux in zoom land.
Cant wait to see pricing.

Cooke did in their time. The 20-100 and later 18-100 was unbeatable and in a way is still today. But for some reason Cooke stopped building zooms and left the market to Angenieux. I own both privately, a modern Optimo lightweight zoom and the Cooke 20-100. Both remarkable lenses, build for very different applications. But the 20-100 is the much more cinematic glass.

Hey Nick this are priced in the far upper end of Cine Primes ranging from 23k to 31k per lens.
