Hold tight buddy, as soon as I finish robbing that bank I'll ping you - cash OK?

Seriously, that 16-42 Optimo DP is a great lens on Epic with excellent tele centricity and top shelf mechanics. Like a lot of the Angie's they seem to add depth to the image somehow. Smooth enough for close ups but sharp enough for 4K.

BTW, I know Dan and he's a reputable person to buy from.

Cheers - #19

I would love to take that lens off you hands but need it to cover 6k. Hoping they make full frame zoom lens soon.

There was a PL mount for the Epic/Scarlet at the NAB Red booth that will enlarge the image circle for S35 lenses to cover the 6K sensor. It did have a slight light loss if I remember correctly.

The lens covers 5k easily, do we know that it doesn't cover the slightly larger 6k?

If 6k is covered. We might just have a deal. Really love these lens and want one bad! But need to shoot 6k.

Yeah, hard to say Jacob. I can tell you that I own one and 5k is no issue.

6k or not.. This lens is worth its weight in gold. Amazing quality and covers 5k

Really though... Do you really need to shoot in 6k?

I guess each person has to decide that for themselves. Not everyone will go the Dragon route, and some will have the Scarlet 5K version. I'd keep this zoom if i could afford to. Speaking of which, still fielding offers...

Rent rates vary a lot by location. I've seen it here in LA for $400/day and up. But I haven't been actively renting mine out, or monitoring rental rates, so not sure what the norm is. Maybe other owners could chime in on that.

As far as I know, the Dragon 6k sensor is the same size as the Epic 5k, just lots more pixels jammed into the same area, this lens should be fine.

Sky Fall, Iron Man 3, The Hang Over 3, Life Of Pi, Thor 2, Captain America 2, Argo, The Lone Ranger, The Wolverine, Hugo all shot on 1080 to 3.5K. What the %$#@ do redusers need 6K for?

*typed in humour, not a personal attack..especially since I'm yet to master 2K*
