  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

OMOD XLR 2

cant see either - no battery info at all!

I'm still waiting for an OffHollywood email about an upgrade to the OMOD XLR 1 ... Mark said it was done in September, it's March, so 6 months later and nothing! !!

I sent an email to Offhollywood in december and still no response...

Has anyone had an update of his OMOD XLR V1?

Thanks for posting this and for the tester trying out the XLR2, such a disappointment that the new version has any issues at all as well. I don’t understand why audio is so difficult on the new bodies. Anyone know of any other XLR / Audio module for DSMC2?

Not sure if this test is completely helpful

Well, given that the user is testing with a Schoeps miniCMIT, I am surprised that the audio is not better. Perhaps the room and mic placement are fighting him, but this is not nearly the quality I would hope for from this mic with any decent pre amp.

Yeah it doesn’t sound usable yet, maybe XLR3. I was close to doing this since we’ve been doing a lot of doc stuff on Red recently, going to wait out another option or OH to address it.

Hey Michael,

I'm glad I'm not the only one that has picked up that the LEMO adapter A depresses the AES button on the OMOD. Thankyou for ideas of a work around. I guess this is one of the many pitfalls of a modular camera design with 3rd party accessories :(

I have always tried to live my life as a caution to others. I'm glad to have succeeded in this small way :biggrinjester:

Any news about upgrading OMOD XLR v1?
