  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Old footage...

Try this in one noisy 2007 clip, significant improvement in noise floor.
BTW i think its time to improve the exterior look of the Red camera, afterall i'm just human, thats why i like Apple's products :-)
New design pls.

So in theory, i could take the EDL for Che part 1/2, run it though Red Cine X and i'll get an even better master than the final cinema release?!!?! :w00t:

I am blown away. Really. I have taken some of my oldest footage (RED ONE and M sensor) and applied REDcolor2 and REDlogFilm with my newest Look... and I am speechless.

Apply the Look and adjust Shadow until you fall over dead.

I encourage all of you to try it. Please. Religious experience...

This is why I pushed for footage fiils with meta data for settings and desired looks without touching the actual footage until final comit, back in the diy cinema projects for the silicon image camera, and high dynamic range, so everything could be rearranged post. Also, in the 90's i was invisioning systems with large resolution sensors accross multipe cameras rigs, so that framing could be done in post, and positioning use 3d interpolation between cameras. I am even considering design of computerised post focus pulling. I originally realised, if i could put multiple feeds through a large touch screen display laid down as a switching panel, i could switch and direct at the same time on live performances, with automated or/and controlled pov mounts, using special rail and pully systems and tracking. The latest version is rather mind boggling. Even systems for high quality small team feild production. In the end, more canbe done for lower cost. There is probably more money to be made from replacing most studio equipment than the cameras.

People wonder where things can go in the camera industry, with ultra 8k hd comming in comming years. In the future a hd or shd wont be considered as professional compared to large resolutiom sensor post camera equipment like these. So there is years of large improvements left in the market.

Thesis closed.
