Jarred,
I really like RedAlert/RedRushes. It is robust, down to earth, simple, never pretended to be cool - just a tool. RedCine was a kind of poser, never worked to its expectations.
Now RedCine-X. The GUI is mouth watering, modern - makes you play with your footage. I love tiny things like playing a clip by tipping its thumbnail in the browser. I like the curve module. Using the sliders and seeing how the curve alters its shape gives you an idea what curves are really about. Menaingful is the possibility to hide the curve and use the sliders solely. The WB module is how it should be, Iridas have that this way a long time and I'm glad to see you implementing this using not only temperature but also tint - important for shots under fluoroscent light for instance.
I'm not sure how you store grading data, nor do I know by now wether it does eat EDLs but I'm sure that RedCine-X, with or without RedRocket, will fill a gap RedCine never filled: the ability to create conveniently rushes with a first-light grade.
Things come together. Patientally waiting for Epic,
Hans
