Just curious, for those wanting the metal ones, whats the main reason?
 
The perception of robustness. I have no data one way or the other, but generally metal "feels" more robust but can dent and scratch, whereas plastic flexes and is lighter. In practice I think they are about the same in durability. I would however prefer my laptop be plastic, my F'ing Macbook Pro has more dents than a demolition derby racer.
 
Evin it sounds like your plastic LCD will work great for me then.
