  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

OFFHOLLYWOOD

Cool - from the looks of it, it should be easy to swap between 15mm / 19 mm? While we're at it - how about refreshing our memory on how the mattebox looks by now?

(Is that a picture or a render?)

photo... ill take that as a compliment.. I think :)

and yes super easy.. those handles bolt onto the modular bridgeplate clamp, the same on on the RED ONE Modular bridge plate, so you can use 15mm, 19mm, on the R1 or the Epic/Scarlet

Jarred,

Great gear,, when can we get our hands on these? are they in production?

Very cool, that's what I thought... Well, I guess we're all just waiting for it to pop up in the store...

Please also try with the Scarlet please. :)

Looks just fab, class always shows through, this is just what l've been waiting for, for my new Scarlet/Epic S rig. Jarred money in the bank with REDs name on it, just waiting for all the release dates now!

Mark's twitter from a bit ago: More Epic madness tonight ... stay tuned ...

Man, I got screwed. I paid $4.50 at Lowe's...

The handles look light, with great range of adjustment, and strong. This is gonna be a light system!

I bet there will be lots and lots of I/O and additional battery modules sold/rented just cause there will be people thinking there is plenty of weight left to pack on without worry, and sometimes wanting to add them on just for the feel of the added mass in the back. I imagine they will be perfect for balancing out MPs and RPPs, which should pull down on the nose a lot if configured light. I guess we should be happy Canon jumped the gun with their line skipping cause there will be lots of folks out there that will be very familiar with balancing out this sort of light and small rig, and they can help those that will be using Epic a lot but have no experience with DSLRs.

Yeah ... but right now ... I'm stuck in the line at Home Depot getting my white acrylic tabletop plate. WTF, everyone is trying to get one!

I ordered mine on Amazon,, will be here the day before Christmas.

well, i guess if we're going to be waiting either way, i guess it wouldn't be a bad idea to head over to the home depot...
