  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

OFFHOLLYWOOD

Well ... I knew it was going to be amazing. And I saw HDRx™ work and I knew - in that moment - they had the secret sauce. But NO ... I did not actually set the bar high enough. Expectations significantly exceeded.

HDRx is what blew my mind, and not at least because of the horisontal motion performance I saw in the images released, but you knew that.

I am extremely curious as to how this works in a lot of specific situations, though.

I think HDRx might be a good idea, even when you don't dynamically need it, for some situations. (Not all!) But really I see it as THE great new tool... which will need a lot of extensive testing....

Already hit all the black buttons Dino - she's refusing to break.

bastard!

but...great news...as a pioneer you have to be prepared to take arrows in the head.

glad i could be of service to you!

let's end it at that.

have a good ole time in the old country.

Just to think, one year ago I was excited about getting a 5D ... I knew next to nothing about Red.

Now, I have a Red1 -- amazing in and of itself -- and am waiting for the very same camera being used on huge films by Ridley Scott, Peter Jackson, Spiderman, and who knows what else.

No other camera company has this culture of passionate pros who come to one place and share like this. It feels so unreal.

Thanks Mark for being one of the leaders of the revolution. All the praise is so well deserved :-)

This camera will blow your mind. Really.

My mind is 100% officially blown off.

This changes EVERYTHING.
Actually it sorta makes sense that with Epic's brain, your mind was blown off! :001_cool:
Mark thank you SO MUCH for taking the time to give us a hint of how it feels :-)

Dinner time. I'll post some more pics later tonight and some general reactions. Get off your computers and have a glass of wine.

Excellent!

... and thank you Mark for all the updates ... this is such a joyful moment !!!

I am going to have a nap and crawl out with the first sunlight ...
looking forward to reconnect to you guys ...

good night
:-)

P.S: ... guess i will have some intensely insane happy sexy dreams ... :sifone:

Kudos to Red Team for shipping the first Epic-M! Very cool stuff Mark...looks like you and "da boyz" are havin' fun! Keep the Tweets flowing... :)

Being Red customer #2 with Red 0008, I should be next up to bat with Epic-M. We had separate early histories with Red - different paths to the same nectar. As you know, my personal approach to Red One (and Epic and Scarlet to come) represents a different end of this industry - mobile hybrid non-hardlined EFP with ultra compact camera setups, 35mm stills lenses - TV production featuring adventure travel, music, nature, alternative sports, tourism, documentaries, wildlife, cultures, etc.

Thanks again for the Tweets and insight. I'll look forward to balancing out the overall picture next on Epic M with impressions and info on my alternative EFP uses and setups.

Epic = flexibility, modularity, and broad utility - gotta love that, eh! Nothing with the Epic really surprises me at this point. Bet you can't wait to launch the M out into some productions...

Cheers...and have fun with your M over there in NY! Shades of August 2007...we've come full circle :)

@Mark, can't wait to see what insanity you try with the Epic tomorrow. Are you going to name it or not? If so, let us know what you decide on!!!

Reading this thread...I realized there are now 26 pages of posts...with only about half a dozen guys posting.

Reduser.net at its finest!!! I am so happy!!! Celebrating tonight!!!!

We are going to try something insane tomorrow. Let's see how that goes.

Just for us mortals: can you make an iPhone pic of the frame you're going to do alongside the Epics as well? Just to have some point of reference. We didn't have that with the Barn or the Las Vegas footage...
Congrats with your new toy btw...

I never followed twitter in my life until now. Keep it coming baby.
