OK, so I just got my brand new 2575 head, a model which I've used on many occasions and I think It's the shit of fuck mountain but...
...It also weighs as much as fuck mountain!
And I knew this but, all of sudden the reality of a tripod head that, with case and AKS, weighs in at 49.5Lbs is a little disturbing to my aching back.
Do any of you out there that have used both seriously believe there is a Red configuration (including the 12:1 Optimo) that the 2060 can't handle?
I chose the 2575 because it's the standard, I've even seen some other DPs put HVX200s on them because they just don't like any other head. But if there isn't a situation where Red on a 2060 will be over loaded then is it really necessary to carry around the "Mountain".
Lets be clear though, the rated capacity of the 2060 is 65lbs. This is exactly the weight of a fully loaded Red+24-290mm Optimo so my real question is, in reality can it handle more? If not then I'll most likely keep the 2575.
Thought's fellow O'Connophiles?
