Hello,

Maybe a good idea to build a lens list that works with the Nucleus-N for us budget shooters? I dont own a Nuclues-N yet, but looking into but I saw some mixed reviews. (so not sure if it will work with Leica summicron-r lenses for example)

Cheers

12v works great on all my Sigma ART lenses, Rokinon 85mm and Tokina 11-16mm...works like a charm

Do you notice a difference between using the DTAP over the USB connection? If so how does it compare to the nucleus M motor? I have both but don’t have the dtap for the N and won’t buy it unless it’s better than the USB connection.

It’s so cheap just buy it, it’s well worth the money

You need an unregulated cable, feed it 12-14v and it doubles the power

Where do you get the unregulated one? Like is the one Tilta sells (they have a kit with it), ~12v or 5v?

With international shipping and taxes the cost will double for me... so its more the principle of the thing rather than the money.

Unless you live on Mars ;-P you should be totally able to buy this locally, Tilta has now a WW distribution network, FYI.

I definitely say it is worth it. Be sure to get the unregulated d tap or make your own. I have used the usb power with no issues on Rokinon cine ds lenses and some cinemodded vintage stills glass. But the d tap power really gives it extra snap and better responsiveness.

The wireless range is awesome. Got well over the 300ft direct line of sight while testing.

My only gripe, so far, is the batteries for the handwheel don't really last all that long. And as their voltage drops, it seems to make the handwheel act a little goofy. It's still powered on, but the buttons and/or the handwheel become nonresponsive. Throwing a fresh battery in solves the issue, but it just doesnt last that long. I had better luck powering the hand unit via the usb input with a little portable cell phone charger battery.

Hard to say exactly as I wasn't really timing them. I was using it on an 8 hour shoot and I think I went through 4 batteries in the first 6 hours. For the last couple hours, I finally just used the usb charger for power to the hand unit. Again, these batteries weren't completely depleted, just drained enough to make the hand controller act a bit funky.

I'm not sure if I'm the only one with this experience or not. Anyone else on this thread have any thoughts on this?

Anyone in here pair it with a Nucleus-M Handle? I'd really like someone to first-hand confirm this combo working (as well as all the cables/accessories required to do so).
