  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Now it begins. Red BT shipping

Jay W. should be in contact with you regarding your order, I do see an email was sent on Nov 26th letting you know we had begun shipping units and as soon as he has more information he will provide it to you.

We have ramped the QC process and are allocating cameras every day we should be caught up in the coming weeks.

My Red One just got allocated and I am planning to pick it up at Red Headquarters in Irvine tomorrow. I ordered on the 3rd.
 
Ordered mine really early (a day or two after announcement if I remember correctly), but didn't payment did not reach red europe until about a week and a half after that. Hoping to get mine in the next week or 2. Ordered a 48gb card also but have heard it doesn't work with the Red one which worries me as I will need to find a way to get another card if thats the case.
 
Ordered mine November 3rd and I just got shipping info. It'll be here on Dec 6th!! I also just got the Rokinon 35mm Cine lens so I am very excited to use that on the R1 MX
 
Ordered mine on the fifth. No word from red yet. I'm I the only one that's checking their email every 5 minutes?
 
It looks like allocation is given to those who ordered on 4th. I just got mine, good news.

Fifther here too...since the 3rds are being shipped & 4th are just getting their allocation notifications, I'm guessing we'll have at least our allocation by the end of the week!
 
Dang. I am Sixth-er here. I am going to have to bury my various email devices so I quit checking them for shipping info...^^

Have you guys been billed? I know they are only suppose to bill you when the item is shipped or being shipped. I think checking your bank/credit account might be better than checking your email

What does the status of your wire transfere say? I wired the funds and bomb squad confirmed they received it but that was literally a month ago and I've heard nothing since. My order status is still 'new order'.

Don't take it linearly like that.

I ordered on the 2nd. and still no allocation. (I have been in touch with my bomb squad rep Tyler)

Just have to be patient and let the masters do their thing. I'd rather not rush the QC process anyway.

It'll ship when it ships. Better waiting a little bit for an R1 than a long time for a BMCC.

I think credit card transactions are going to be different as I ordered on the 9th and see a balance of $0.00, but have not been charged yet. My guess is they will charge it at some point close to shipping (at the allocation stage perhaps?).
 
The status of shipped items turned to be "Invoiced" but the camera is still "New Order". The amount of funds reflects the real situation - full amount minus shipped items.

Surely we should be patient, but it is nice to understand what the status is.
 
Been stuck in customs for 3 days now... DHL is fast at shipping but slower than hell at filing and receiving paperwork...

Same here. I'm also buying some more itens since my status is still "New order" (11/7).

The way I see things is if other folks have the same status as mine so it's probably normal and part of the procedure... So I'm waiting.

Had to rent again a Scarlet for a job but hope to see my allocation next week...

Stillll stuck in customs. I filed all the necessary paperwork with DHL but it seems they told me the wrong information. Fixed it up, and it SHOULD be here Friday or Monday unless there's another unexpected issue they neglect to inform me of.

I was so amazed that DHL got it from California to Ontario Canada in less than 24 hours... Now I'm reconsidering that amazement...
 
Picked mine up yesterday in Irvine at Red Headquarters. Pretty cool. The camera looks to be in very good condition. Unfortunately they didn't have the Nikon adapter ready for me so I can't put a lens on it yet. So I'm still waiting..... :-)
