  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

November 3rd logistics...

Voting for the live stream. Please let us know if this could be organized and taken care of with Jim'a approval, so it's a decent stream.

We are working on the final details and should have a registration page up in a few hours - plan on 5pm on the 3rd so we can all get settled for the announcements.

Just curious... are you going to post a link to it here in this thread? Or somewhere else?

Somebody please go there and stream the event live to uStream or something :-)

I would love to come, but we are doing our final sound mix on my first film (outside of film school, that is) from the fifth to the seventh and I have no doubt there will be tons of preparations to be done in those last few days. Even still, I'll be online for the announcement. I await it with baited breath. :)

I'm moving to Los Angeles on November 3rd. This unveiling will be an interesting first day, plan to arrive early!~

Would be real nice to wait an hour after your announcement to open the store. This would allow everyone time to digest all the news.

Ok,… Just a weird thought...

What time is the Canon “Hollywood” announcement?

Big Cheers,

Eric

"On the 3rd, Canon's event starts at 3pmPST......so I expect a press release for what ever is being announced will be released by 5 or 6pmPST....On the 4th (second day), Canon will be holding a 2nd, invite only event from 1-9pm."

Canon is making an event of the announcement to be staged at Paramount Studios, Hollywood on Friday, Nov. 4 from 1:00 to 9:00 p.m. There will be a reprise of the event on Saturday, Nov. 5 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., same location. As an educator, I feel it's necessary to attend both the RED announcement (if I am lucky enough to secure a reservation) and the Canon event. I'll be going to the Saturday event, since I'll be spending most of Friday trying to order a Scarlet system! At the Canon event, I am expecting to get a thorough look at what I will NOT be buying.... ;-)

+1

For those of us who are not able to attend and take part in person. A stream would be great, even using http://www.ustream.tv/ - everything is touch and go these days.

PS: Australia has to wait an extra day with the time zones :( Nov 4th.... it just sounds longer.:cryin:

woohay..just did it.

Now just have to buy the plane ticket! Nov 3rd is only going to be further away now...
