November 30th Announcement Feedback

[Eren Ozkural]

Okay...this is making me think that there are a lot of major players behind the scenes who have agreed to take REDRAY onboard wheter it's studios or people in the exhibition business.

So, no cd-rom drive, we 'll be able to play anything from hard drives or thumbs or cards, or name it, sweeet.

AVI is a container, not a codec.

[Petri Teittinen]

Gotta love item #21...

[Ryan Valle]

i don't mind the price bump on the fixed scarlet considering the features one gets.

[Eren Ozkural]

Okay...prcies have gone up as they were promised. I like the RED mini prime pricing. I would have preferred lower accessory pricing but then again I'd also prefer £1,000,000 to land on my lap right now. I'm liking what I see

[Felix K.]

Where do we put the battery from the Fixed Scarlet pack?

[Eddy Robinson]

Scarlet info sounds pretty good! Price hit is not so bad - $4750 for the fixed is quite a chunk of change, but it's certainly a complete package. $2750 for the 2/3" brain is very good indeed. I am impressed with the pricing on the primes...a full set for under $5000 sounds great.

Does this have any onboard monitoring, or will one of the LCDs be a requirement? Ditto for controls, will a REDmote be necessary?

Last question, any guidance on non-electronic lens adapters for those who plan to use manual 35mms or C-mount lenses?

[Rainer Fritz]

seems to be so! or the next 5K format player anyway..

would be really a bad ass tool if it could playback 2k and 4k DCPs as well....

If I could export REDCODE and load it on the redray would be also nice....

[Tim Hole]

Redmote included with fixed package...nice

[Joseph Ward]

FF35?

[Eren Ozkural]

I'm also happy with the schedule, just wondering about shipping order...

[Tim Whitcomb]

Scarlett still less than a Panasonic HVX-200. WELL DONE!

and mini primes! YES!

RED RAY PRO!!! YES PLEASE!

[Petri Teittinen]

"EPIC S35 Stage 3 & 4- pre-summer 2010"

Ye gods! That's a lot sooner than I expected!

[morgan_moore]

Well, that was for Red Ray, then I saw Scarlet and I forgot to post it.

The price of fixed Scarlet is not very disappointing, but is not a mild increase either (+26%). The features are great as expected, the scheduling is better than I expected, if everything goes as planned (and I wish for it to the Red team), I 'll have it when my baby comes to life

I also liked the prices of the mini primes, make me wonder fixed or minis?

[Ketch Rossi]

Jarred, does this means that we can take the RRD to a Cinema operating with any 4K projection system and play it off of it?

[Denis Haineault]

$4750 for everything that is included is pretty awesome.

Hope to see some details for the lens on the fixed model.

[DojcheMark]

What in the fixed focal length equivalent to 35mm

[Lorenzo Straight]

Wow. The Red Ray Pro looks awesome. Breaking new grounds with every product.
