  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Not fair comparing the sizes without the side handle etc, lol...but it is very compact.

Scarlet gets even slimmer if you take off the Side CF module..

...which can be very desirable for crash cam and also broadcast-style "POV" applications.
 
Thanks for the comparison image! I finally have a good handle on the size.
 
Any news on whether the independent guides expands to picture overlay...for frame matching etc...

Image is not necessary for follow focus systems and in most situations not desired. Good focus pullers are looking at the distance between the imaging plane and the subject; hence the large tape measure on their belt. Camera op is using VF/lcd monitor for framing the image and confirming the focus is on.

will the wheel then have a servo to hard stop the remote at the end of the focus range of the lens?

does anyone know off hand how much rec time an average cf card will give you at 3k? is there a chart somewhere ?

thats probably going to depend on what redcode you would be shooting at as well as frame rate...at current there is a iphone app that gives current timing. Im certain it wont include redcode 100
 
If they are still using the same naming scheme, Redcode 100 will be 100 MB/s. So, you should get a few compact flash cards, because you will fill them up quickly! But your colorist will love you for it.

at code 100 and say 24fps roughly will we be talking a sensible amount of time or will it be 12mins like the 5dmark2 :yesnod:
