Here's the film - Not Me. I'm really happy with how it turned out. It's password protected until the public release...but here's the film for my fellow redusers!

Camera dept crew of 2 - myself and AC. Was definitely difficult shooting anamorphic in a hotel room. The limited mount of space creeps up on you quickly. Pretty happy with the result given the limited shooting time.

Amazing cast and an amazing project to be a part of. Helping to shed light on true stories is definitely something I love. Can't wait for the public release.

Looks great! Quick question: What were you using for a top light?

Thanks man! Check out my instagram https://www.instagram.com/redepicguy/ - I posted a BTS walkthrough video. I used (2) litemats (1 was in the bathroom, the other in the main bedroom), then (2) Aperture 120D's (one was on the terrace/balcony, the other on the floor bouncing up off the white ceiling near the bathroom).

Ah, ye ol' Litemats. I suspected as much. So versatile! They give off more punch than I originally thought.

Now following you on Instagram. Keep the BTS vids coming! Cheers.

Yea...they give a decent amount of punch. These are the 1x2’s. Thankfully we had them because the ceilings were quite low and we couldn’t hide lights anywhere else.

These are damned good. My only criticism is that some of the shots look like they have perfect WB. I like to see some ambience, even if it's green fluorescents mixed with halogen bulbs.

Yea. All looks are very subjective, and part of what I love about being a DP. Thanks for the compliments!

Nice pulled off and good acting. The only thing I like change is the shot where the service guys hit him and run. Perhaps you had another shot with more energy. Also I like the hotel guest more furious in the next shot when he says that he wants the service guy fired.. Evething else was perfect! Good pic of the cast.

Thank you! Yea, towards the end the hotel told us to stop shooting so we couldn't get coverage and all the shots we wanted because it was getting late. But I think we pulled it off enough to tell a compelling story.

What AR is this, 3:1?

Shot at 6:1. I added a substantial amount of grain to everything in post. Added less grain to the interior hallway shots and the one exterior night shot, since those were at a higher ISO anyways.

I was thinking of Aspect Ratio. :smile5:

Totally! Is there any bts coming?

There was a still photographer there taking some stills off and on. Other than properly placed practicals, (2) Aperture 120D’s and (2) 1x2 Litemats (knowoff version) were used. So minimal lighting.

The director wanted to try and have it be a one-er, but we tried various options and it just wasn’t right for the story, so we decided against that, and I think the story is better for it since we can sit on talent longer during various moments in the film.

Looks like the film was just picked up by a distributor in Europe and it will be broadcast on their short form TV network.

Congratulations! That's one of the best feelings in the world, when a publisher or broadcaster accepts your work.

The story was really good.
