Just came across this video and i thought i'd share. Kinda goes along with the theme that we can still shoot while we're waiting for DSMC. It's not always about having the best or most expensive gear to tell your story. An ounce of innovation and creativity is worth a ton of high end gear.

No I had nothing to do with the video. I'm an avid Skier/Filmer and found the video on newschoolers.com (ski forums) while looking for ideas for a cable cam.

the cable cam looks like a pretty alright little rig though, add a another direction and your looking at some awesome shots.

wasnt this done for mack dawg productions ? It looks like his work from some snowboard videos Ive seen. its also the music hes used..

maybe Mike McIntyre can shed some light.

I think I'll be building myself all of these DIY's now. Some great shots on a low budget. They're no Fischer, but they'll work for little stuff.
