Nomad

Was at the GV Expo in Wash DC today and met the owner of Zaxcom. Played with the Nomad for an hour and spoke with him about it. Nice guy. Nice to see that actual company guy there, rather than some hired actor, err I mean rep, that was reading up about the product that morning.

Now that's its been in the field for about 6 weeks. What is some feedback on the unit in a production environment. I'd love to hear from both cart guys and bag guys.

+1 on this for input- Believe it or not, I have had my money in on a Nomad 6 since mid August and am still waiting for delivery. If you run into Glenn in the future, could you ask him where mine is?

The jwsound forum has a few great threads on it with users sharing their experiences, but it's overall extremely positive. Folks are transitioning from their 744ts and Mix-Pres since Nomad is an all in one solution (including IFB) for over the shoulder rigs.

Apparently there is no need to use input limiters, as they won't clip before the mic does.

Zaxcom kinda reminds me of RED- Glenn heads to the boards, interacts with the clientele and caters his equipment/software to their feedback.
