Hi All

Does anyone know how I can make my QT renders out of Da Vinci (with one light) contain a Reel Name so that an EDL can be relinked for finishing?

I'm trying Epic and Alexa footage rendered out to QT Prores HQ. Use Prefix/Suffix etc is ticked and so is rendering Mode - Source.

This should put all of the metadata though shouldn't it?

I'm getting blank reel name field in FCP....so no EDL conforms.

Any help appreciated!

Jeff just make sure you have "assist using reel numbers from the: ebedded source timecode" on the CONFIG page under Timeline Conform options. - Jeff

Right. If that's not checked, it won't read the embedded reel numbers, so it won't write them out either.

This is confusing with Red footage because everything will link up even if it's set not to read the embedded reel numbers, since it seems to infer the reel numbers from the file names. At least, I think that's what's happening.
