No battery info with Movcam plates on epicW

i have just taken delivery of my epicW and some Movcam plates inc multifunction top plate, hot swap adaptor and V-lock battery plate. I have a DSMC2 base expander between the V-lock plate and the hot swap adaptor and am not getting any battery info up in my Bomb EVF. The batteries are Swit S8192S which showed battery info on my Dragon previously. The accessory plates i had on the Dragon were made by Action Products. Any clues as to how i get the battery info up in the EVF? The camera powered down without any warning while i was just setting it all up and the fan reverted to the default setting when i put on a new battery. Please forgive the dumb question but what am i doing wrong? Thanks

Im pretty sure all old non-RED battery plates will not show battery info. Red changes the protocol not to long ago. So essentially a new board required in the plates. Wooden Camera should have their update soon.

Exactly, Wooden Camera has had the same issue. I emailed them recently and a new plate is coming soon.

I've solved it temporarily by having a D-tap go from the plate to the DC input. Not the prettiest but it works.

Hi Jesper - even a temporary fix will work for me right now as i need to start using the camera asap. Where did you get the cable from that you are using? And does that enable you to see battery info? Thanks

Any D-TAP to Red Power Lemo will work. Use the D-Tap on the battery or plate straight into the camera.

Guessing you upgraded to the latest operating system? I've noticed that off brand batteries will cause this same issue. On my movi Pro - When my Weapon is powered by the Movi Pro. I too, don't have the ability to see how much power is left in camera, I have to manually touch the power voltage button on the batteries to see if I need to hot swap. Which makes for an annoying race, when you notice your out of power, or after multiple takes..

Did this issue with Movcam hot swap plate showing voltage ever get resolved? Was hoping to switch to the Movcam multifunction top plate, but I need the hot swap plate to power it as well as supply the SDI/HDMI feeds to the plate and I don't want to lose my voltage indicators.
